Gas shortage not expected to impact Asheville operations, statement from city says

Asheville city leaders don’t expect the effects of a cybersecurity attack on the Colonial Pipeline to disrupt any citywide services, thanks to sufficient planning, they say. In a statement to News 13, Asheville’sCommunication SpecialistPolly McDaniel says the city “has a plan in place to ensure continuity of service during times of shortage,” including having an “ample supply of gas and diesel fuel on hand” for city vehicles.
